RedteaReady eSIM Card
eSIM cards are used in the eSIM Multi-Network Card, SDK Integration and some eSIM Module editions
eSIM, also known as embedded SIM or eUICC, is a new type of secure chip used to remotely manage profiles from multiple mobile network operators. eSIMs come in several form factors, plug-in or embedded (soldered), integrate easily with any device, and offer a range of technical advantages.
eSIM Card Features
Compared with traditional IoT SIM cards, an eSIM card can store multiple profiles from multiple carriers, switch between them at any time and have profiles updated remotely. It is ideal for devices that require highly reliable connectivity or are deployed across distributed locations.
Regulatory Policy in China
On January 3, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) approved China Unicom to provide eSIM technology application services in IoT and other fields. On October 19, 2020, MIIT approved China Mobile and China Telecom to do the same. With this, all three of China's major carriers are approved to provide eSIM technology application services in the IoT sector.
RedteaReady Management Platform
Online Self-Service, Activate Networks Online
New users get 100 MB of free data upon registration. A License is the authorization code for using Redtea eSIM services; each License is bound to one device and is valid for one year, with billing starting from the device's first power-on. In addition to the data provided by the platform, you can also buy ACs (activation codes) directly from carriers. RedteaReady provides the download service, and each AC imported and downloaded on the platform counts as one service use.
Network Monitoring Policies, Flexible Configuration
Devices detect network connection status through the SDK. You can configure the target addresses to monitor and the monitoring policies, and enable or disable policies as needed.
Remote Device Management, Clear Status Visibility
Import devices in bulk on the platform by importing the IMEI numbers of their network modules. Once a device powers on, profiles are delivered over the air automatically. On the platform you can view and manage device network status, data usage, online/offline status, device operation logs, carrier switching and more.
